UNIMA-Canada’s 2025 Cross Country Chat – August 12

UNIMA Canada is pleased to announce the 2025 Cross Country Chat, taking place over Zoom on Tuesday, August 12, at 12:00-1:30pm PT / 1:00-2:30pm MT / 3:00-4:30pm ET / 4:00-5:30pm AT. The conversation will be in English.

This is an opportunity for UNIMA members from across the country to connect with their national community and chat about all things puppetry!

This year’s theme is Diversity in Practice – Emerging Ideas. Special guests will include: Louise Lapointe (Quebec region), Jake Thompson (Atlantic region), Shawna Reiter, Lori Nancy Kalamanski, and Ginette Mohr of Wren’s Recipe Collective (Ontario region), and Jessica Hickman and Pedro M. Siqueria of the Victoria Association of Mask & Puppetry (VAMP) (West region).
Our guests have been invited to share insights into their practice as it relates to emerging concepts, approaches, and projects. A Q&A will follow during which all participants will have the opportunity to chat with our special guests. This is a wonderful occasion for puppeteers to come together to learn about the diversity of practice here in Canada. We look forward to seeing you there!
