Music festivals are specific to the type of music being performed.  Folk music festivals are a distinct atmosphere from electronic dance music (EDM) festivals, which are in turn different from jazz music festivals.  Puppetry likewise takes on different forms for which there are specific festivals that celebrate a specific kind of puppetry.  For example, there are festivals for Kamishibai, the Japanese art of telling stories through showing a succession of images printed or drawn on large paper cards which the performer reveals one at a time.  There is a Kamishibai festival in Chile, South America.   Another form of puppetry is ‘Lambe Lambe’ which began in Brazil. ‘Lambe Lambe’ is a miniature puppet play inside a box with a peep hole through which one audience member at a time (maybe two or three) watch(es) the show as the puppeteer performs the show which usually lasts around 10 minutes.  A beautiful article to learn more about ‘Lambe Lambe’ is written by a teacher who brough her students to a ‘Lambe Lambe’ puppetry festival. There is a ‘Lambe Lambe’ festival also in Chile called ‘Festilambe de Valpariso.
